Enriched Family Fall/Thanksgiving Break Camp Roundup

Many public school districts around Austin now take a full-week for Fall/Thanksgiving Break, rather than the traditional two to three days. This includes, for example, Austin ISD, Eanes ISD, Lake Travis ISD, Leander ISD, and Round Rock ISD. For many parents, in order to balance work and family responsibilities, this means filling in the week with some camp options. In an effort to make your life easier, I have compiled a list of camps offering sessions during Thanksgiving week. In my experience, fall and winter break camps tend to be a bit harder to find, especially for little ones, and often do not cover the full school break. I have tried to include camps in different areas in or near Austin (camps are organized by geographic location), with a variety of price points, a few options for littles, and have focused on including camps that provide a range of coverage - from workshops to four-day camps. ATX Kids Club School Holiday Adventures
Details: Campers learn so much about the Central Texas region. Children may travel around Austin using CapMetro exploring their city or exploring beyond the city limits riding in the ATX Kids Club 8- or 15-passenger van to locations in San Antonio, Fredericksburg, Johnson City, Waco, and more. Your child will love spending their school holiday on ATX Kids Club adventures! Ages 4-15.

Cordovan Art School Fall Break Art Camps - Register in NW Austin - Mesa Dr. | Round Rock | Cedar Park
Details: M-W, November 25-27. You can choose between 1, 2, or 3 days, with the option of enrolling in half or full days. Camp themes include The Great Turkey Takeover; Anime Holiday; Christmas is Coming; Gingerbread House; Cookies for Santa Plate; and Fall Festival. Idea Lab Thanksgiving Break Camps
Details: Join Idea Lab over the Thanksgiving holiday break for an assortment of different single-day camp options. Themes for the week will include: Culinary Arts (Monday), Robotics (Tuesday), Engineering (Wednesday), and Minecraft Mania (Friday)! Ages 5-12.

My Coding Place Thanksgiving Break Camps
Details: Two camp options - Graphics Camp or Games Camp.
Join in for up to 4 days in Games camp (ages 7-14) as the instructor introduces students to Scratch, a fun friendly platform which kids use to create animation and games while learning coding concepts!
Join in for up to 4 days in Graphics camp (ages 10-18) as the instructor introduces students to graphics making photo collages, using selection tools, filters, digital brushes, and more!

Hogwarts: Triwizard Tournament | Grades 3-5 | November 25-27, 2019
Dive into the world of Harry Potter, get sorted into houses, visit Ollivander’s Wand Shop, tour the school grounds, and prepare for the Triwizard Tournament. This camp does not end with a camp demonstration. $300 for the three-day camp from 9am-4pm.

Details: Crenshaws is offering a fun-filled program for Kindergarten through 5th graders whose parents are looking for all day activities during the Thanksgiving school break. There will be contests, and The Introduction of 10 Shooting Drills. Players should expect to get up hundreds of shots and reinforce fundamentals critical to their shooting success this season. This camp will also include scrimmages. Most players are not working on their shots as school practices are typically devoted to conditioning, offensive plays, traps, and schemes. Be the player who makes the offensive scheme work. Knock down open shots with a level of consistency that inspires your team and coach. Camp Director Chris Corbett is know as one of Austin’s best shooting coaches and aims to fine tune and help you get the reps to help your shooting skills. Ages 9 – 16 (see times below). Intermediate and Advanced Players ONLY at this event. Limited to 20 registrants.
